Jame Jones is our Development & Communications Coordinator. As such, she's responsible for much of our direct fundraising as well as our social media, press releases, newsletters, etc., so be sure to keep an eye out for updates on MassCOSH from her!
Having grown up in the Seattle area, in a pro-union family, Jame has long been aware of the importance of workers' rights and workplace health and safety standards. Her dad works for the National Association of Letter Carriers and represents letter carriers fighting for workers' compensation, while her mom was part of the local teachers union before she retired.
With a BA in English and Creative Writing and a minor in Spanish, Jame has experience in a variety of nonprofit roles, ranging from development and communications to social services, to grassroots fundraising and organizing. Having previously done work pertaining to housing, homelessness, and poverty, Jame has witnessed how these issues disproportionately impact communities of color and queer and trans communities, typically coinciding with unsafe, exploitative, low-paying jobs. She is grateful to be working with MassCOSH in confronting these problems on a more systemic level and is proud to be actualizing the values instilled in her by her parents.
