Anna Lee

Teens Lead @ Work Executive Branch Advocate

Email: anna.lee@masscosh.org

Anna joined our team at MassCOSH in January 2025 as the Teens Lead @ Work Executive Branch Advocate. In this role, she works with our Peer Leaders on actively engaging in the state legislative process and learning how to advocate for their rights as teens, workers, and constituents. She also works with the Peer Leaders on social justice and resistance in poetry, sharing the history of social justice and poetry, and teaching how to read, write, and analyze poetry with our Peer Leaders. Poetry as a form of resistance throughout history and even today is a powerful way for our Peer Leaders to get involved with social justice and learn the impact that art, specifically poetry, has in social justice movements.

Anna received her Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Anthropology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She currently attends the University of Massachusetts Boston for her Master of Arts degree in history. Her focus is on labor history, with a working thesis topic on gendered labor in New York City in the early 1900s. Anna’s professional background includes experience as a legislative intern, paralegal and legal assistant, and educator. She’s grateful for the opportunity to teach our Peer Leaders about legislation and social justice in this position!
