We hope you can join us for these upcoming MassCOSH events!

March 16, 2022

With COVID-19 rates on the decline, MassCOSH is happy to announce two upcoming in-person events (subject to change should COVID-19 rates require we change plans to keep everyone safe).

First, MassCOSH will resume its powerful observation of International Workers’ Memorial Day on the steps of the Massachusetts State House on Thursday, April 28 at noon. We invite you to join us, along with fellow workers, advocate allies, and families of those who have lost a loved one to honor those we lost due to preventable injury and illness and to renew our vow to end unsafe work.

Second, after a two-year hiatus, MassCOSH is pleased to announce our 46th Annual Celebrating the Movement celebration will be taking place May 5th at Freeport Hall, IBEW 103’s union hall in Dorchester! We have so much to catch up on since we were last able to gather. In addition to celebrating the many victories that have been won by working people, we are honored to award the following and celebrate their contributions to the movement for worker justice:

• Labor Leadership Award winner Chrissy Lynch, Chief of Staff, MA AFL-CIO
• Coalition for Worker Justice Award winners AFT Massachusetts, Boston Teachers Union, and the Massachusetts Teachers Association
• Public Health Leadership Award winner James Laing, Workplace Fatality Project Coordinator at the MA Department of Public Health
• Immigrant Worker of Courage Award winners Maritza Manrique, Mayra Molina, and Beatriz Yanez.
