Congratulations Kyle, Lee’El and Haley!

MassCOSH is very proud to announce that its three senior Teens Lead @ Work peer leaders are graduating from high school with very promising future plans.

Kyle Jackson sees himself going into the professional trades. He is interested in electrical work and will make a great future member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Lee'El Jones has been awarded a full scholarship to Franklin Pierce University but is also considering attending UMASS Boston, UMASS Dartmouth, Framingham State University, and Georgia State University. Haley Alphonse has been accepted at many colleges, including Northeastern University, Suffolk University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and UMass Lowell.

While they have graduated high school, Kyle, Lee’El, and Haley will still have one more summer with MassCOSH. Thanks to the John Hancock Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars program and the City of Boston’s Department of Youth Engagement and Employment Successlink Program, Teens Lead @ Work will be able to hire 24 peer leaders for our upcoming summer program, ensuring a new class of young people can become worker rights champions.
